About The Restoration Group NZ

The Restoration Group is a New Zealand-owned supplier dedicated to powering the cleaningrestoration and decontamination industry. We support professional contractors, restoration companies, cleaners, insurance repairers and specialist hygiene teams with the products, IICRC training and advice they need to do the job properly.

From flood and water damage to fire and smoke, mould remediation to odour control, we focus on bringing New Zealand technicians the same level of gear, chemistry and know-how used internationally — but backed locally.

What we do

  • Supply professional restoration equipment – dehumidifiers, air movers, air scrubbers, HEPA filtration, flood extractors and containment solutions.

  • Supply restoration & cleaning chemicals – professional trade-level products for mould, water damage, odour and fire/smoke, carpets and all hard floors.

  • Support IICRC Standards with top level training – so your field teams can follow recognised processes that insurers understand. Be trade certified.

  • Provide New Zealand based service and advice – you can talk to someone who knows the equipment and the restoration environment here.

  • Deliver nationwide – we supply restoration companies throughout New Zealand with same day dispatch and fast delivery service levels.

The Restoration Group NZ exists to make it easier for restoration businesses to access the right products, the right paperwork and the right training, all in one place.

INDUSTRY FOCUSED

Restoration in New Zealand is changing — more documentation, more insurer expectations, and a higher standard of hygiene and building recovery AND certification. Our job is to help you meet that standard. That’s why we stock recognised brands, keep SDS information aligned to New Zealand requirements, and offer guidance on what to use where.

If you run crews, manage drying jobs or handle property damage claims, we are the supplier that actually understands the work you do.

IICRC Training and Best Practice

Alongside equipment and chemicals, we Facilitate industry training (IICRC certified training) so technicians can match products and processes to the job and become trade certified. This keeps results consistent,  meets insurance regulation and reporting.

Return Policy:

Proof of Purchase

To request any return, repair, credit, replacement, or other remedy, the purchaser must provide satisfactory proof of purchase from The Restoration Group. This may include an invoice or receipt issued by us, or other transaction records clearly linking the goods to the original purchase. If we are unable to verify that the goods were purchased from us, we may decline the request.

Returning Goods

Unless goods were supplied incorrectly by The Restoration Group, all costs of returning goods are the responsibility of the purchaser. Freight, courier, and handling charges are not refundable unless we confirm that the goods are faulty and the fault is accepted by us following assessment.

All returned goods remain the sender’s responsibility until received by our warehouse. Goods must be packaged appropriately to avoid damage in transit. The Restoration Group is not responsible for items that are lost, damaged in transit, or returned in error. We recommend using a tracked and insured courier service.

Where possible, returned goods should be sent in their original packaging and include:

  • a copy of the invoice or receipt

  • business name

  • contact name

  • phone number and email address

  • details of the issue or reason for return

Faulty or Damaged Goods

If you believe goods are faulty, you must notify The Restoration Group as soon as possible and provide full details of the issue, including photographs or video where relevant.

Goods may need to be returned for inspection, testing, or assessment. Following assessment, we may determine that:

  • no fault is present

  • the issue is minor and can be repaired within a reasonable timeframe

  • the product should be repaired, replaced, or credited

  • the issue has arisen through misuse, abnormal use, incorrect installation, poor maintenance, unauthorised modification, accidental damage, or negligent handling

If no fault is found, or if the issue is determined to have resulted from misuse, damage, or other causes outside normal product failure, The Restoration Group reserves the right to charge the purchaser for any costs reasonably incurred in inspecting, testing, repairing, storing, and returning the goods.

Goods Supplied in Error

If The Restoration Group has supplied the wrong goods, please notify us promptly. Subject to confirmation, we will arrange an appropriate remedy, which may include replacement, credit, or refund, and will advise the return process.

Change of Mind and Incorrect Orders

Please choose your products carefully as The Restoration Group supplies primarily to trade and business customers, we do not generally accept returns for change of mind, incorrect ordering, over-ordering, or goods no longer required.

Manufacturer Warranties

Where goods are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, The Restoration Group will assist the purchaser with the warranty process, but the outcome will remain subject to the manufacturer’s warranty terms and any assessment requirements.
